Thomas “Mark” Pardue passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2023. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. He was only 60 years old.
Mark is survived by his mother, June Burrell Givan; sister, Kelley Pardue; niece, Brittany Confer (Greg ); and longtime companion, Paige Freeman; as well as his special “sons,” Patrick Evans, Steven Roberts, and Michael Cook.
Mark was predeceased by his father, Tom Pardue, and grandparents, Darnell “DB” and Rubye Burrell and Donald and Ethel Pardue.
Mark was born and raised in Clarkesville, Georgia, and attended Habersham Central High School. He excelled at sports and had a love for both basketball and tennis. He had a tight group of best buds that always found themselves getting into something fun or mischievous, and they spent many years on the beach in Garden City, SC, and boating around Lake Burton.
After high school, Mark attended Truett McConnell and Piedmont College before entering the workforce and finding a passion and skill in car sales. This led him to working and living in Burbank, California, and Memphis, Tennessee, before returning to the North Georgia mountains. He then developed an entrepreneurial spirit and opened and operated TMP Autos, as well as Express Press – a print shop that fell into his lap. He was known for taking a challenge and turning it into something great.
Mark was always a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and didn’t miss watching a game or catching the latest on team updates. He grew up attending football games and UGA tennis matches. Many times he would greet you with a, “How about them Dawgs!” He loved getting to see them win 3 National Championships.
Mark made an impact on many lives and had a laugh that was unmistakable. He loved to tell jokes and always had a positive energy – he was well-liked by everyone he met.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
