Thelma Armour Brock, age 90 of Alto, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021.
Born in Lula, Georgia, on April 3, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Jack Armour and Pauline Pittman Armour. Mrs. Brock was a retired seamstress and a homemaker. She was very family-oriented and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gospel singings, going to the mountains, and camping in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. “Luke” Brock; grandson, Daryl Shook; sisters Louise Oliver, Susie Stancil, and Elizabeth Wade Couch.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Scott (Angie) Brock of Murrayville; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah (Jerry) Shook of Alto; grandchildren, Jason Shook of Baldwin, Ashley, Logan, Amber, and Sierra Brock, all of Murrayville; great-grandchildren, Zach (Kandy), Austin, Cale, and Dylan Shook; great-great-grandchildren, Maddie, Benjamin, Justin, Mason, and Waylon Shook; twin sister, Alma Wiley of Lula; brothers, J.B. Armour, James Armour and L.D. Armour all of Alto; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart, with Rev. Donnie Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Bobbie Griffin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday and from 10 am until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
