Saturday, March 1, was a day of celebration at Hardman Farm, located at 143 Highway 17 in Sautee Nacoochee, GA. The annual event brought over 300 visitors to the historic farm.

The property includes a beautifully restored farmhouse, historic barns, and other outbuildings that glimpse the past. The event, “The Cows Come Home,” honors the local farming culture and the significant role of livestock in the area’s agricultural history.

Beyond the main cow procession, plenty of activities kept everyone entertained.

Local farmers set up booths where visitors could learn about farming practices, animal husbandry, and the history of Hardman Farm.

It was a day filled with opportunities to gain insights into maintaining the land and caring for livestock.

Visitors enjoyed live music, local food vendors offering delicious regional fare, and artisan booths showcasing handmade crafts.
