
The Lady Indians earned their third region championship in program history with a 3-0 win over #6-ranked Loganville Christian on Tuesday. Tallulah Falls, who entered as the #4-ranked team in the state, secured the home court with a dominant outing.
TFS won 25-19, 25-22, 25-11. Lily Smith had eight kills, four aces, and two blocks in a great performance. Sofia Livianos had multiple big serving runs, allowing Tallulah to cushion the lead. She had 10 aces and six kills.
Rebecca Heyl provided encouragement and communication at every point, and had five kills with two aces. Shelby Whisnant had some key kills along the way, and Laura Ruiz Rendon, as usual, supplied solid defense. Margalida Amengual Sanchez set up the hitters with precision passes, and Corinne Swinton covered a lot of ground, receiving serves well and getting some strong blocks.
The Lady Indians last won the title in 2023, and also in 2022, and are now 23-8 on the season with just one regular-season match remaining on Thursday.
JV wins ninth consecutive match

The JV Lady Indians have now won nine straight matches, taking a 2-0 victory on Tuesday at home against Loganville Christian. The 25-18, 25-22 win in straight sets allows the girls to be in a position to claim the JV region title on Thursday at Bethlehem Christian.
The Lady Indians set the tone early with outstanding defense from Emmalyn Whisnant, Nora Mitchell, and Keely Franks. Finlee Ridlehoover took advantage of accurate passing from the back row and fed up many great sets for Tallulah’s hitters.
AnnaLee Wall and Tori Crotta led the offensive charge, while Becca Roberts and Camryn Perry helped keep the pressure on Loganville. TFS is 14-3 overall and 9-0 in region play entering their final match.
