TFS gets back on winning track with 10-0 blanking of Athens Christian

Landon Hall (13) & Jackson Cording (7) (Austin Poffenberger)

The #3-ranked Indians made quick work of Athens Christian on Tuesday on the home pitch, securing a 10-0 win that marks the third shutout of the season.

Austin Ball scored four goals, and Jackson Cording added a hat trick with three goals. Versean Lynes, Eli Damron, and Clay Kafsky all scored in the win. Landon Hall had a pair of assists, while Kafsky, Cording, Jacob Mitchell, Kale Borchers, and Jake Wehrstein all had one apiece.

“We were able to transfer ideas and plays we have been working on in training into game scenarios and all players contributed greatly to the victory and the shutout,” says coach Jeremy Stille.

Defensively, the back line controlled Athens Christian, keeping the pressure off goalkeeper Kelton Reynolds, who earned yet another shutout. The Indians are now 5-1 on the season and 2-0 in region contests.
