TFS coaches select Indians of the Week

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for January 9-14.

VARSITY BOY

unnamedFreshman Chris Geiger of Sautee Nacoochee was named an Indian of the Week by varsity swim coach Annette Cochran. “Chris swam with determination as he set some personal records this past week,” Cochran said. “He placed fourth, dropping 15 seconds in the 200-yard freestyle, fifth in the 100-yard butterfly, fifth in the 200-yard freestyle and in the 400-yard freestyle relay his team placed third. Chris also secured a spot as the alternate on the boys ‘A’ relay team which is going to state.”

VARSITY GIRL

unnamed (3)Junior Reagan Bates of Clarkesville was selected as an Indian of the Week by varsity cheer coach Jane Shoemaker. “Reagan has a positive attitude and keeps the team laughing,” Shoemaker said. “She always strives for us to be the best we can be.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

unnamed (1)Sixth grader Christy Hulsey of Cornelia was named an Indian of the Week by swim coach Annette Cochran. “Christy is a new middle school swimmer who has adapted to the water like a fish,” Cochran said. “She is always working hard to learn and develop her strokes. This past week, Christy dropped six seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and 10 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle. We are expecting great things from her in the years to come.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

unnamed (2)Sixth grader Dan Griswold of Demorest was selected as an Indian of the Week by middle school basketball ‘B’ coach Paul Sweeney. “Dan is a tremendous role player for our ‘B’ team,” Sweeney said. “He is flexible and receptive to whatever role I ask him to play. His personality lifts the rest of the team up.”
