Coaches at Tallulah Falls School have selected their Indian Athletes of the Week for the week of April 17-22 and April 24-29.
VARSITY BOY
Senior Zatrick Pearce of Decatur was named a TFS Indian of the Week by track and field coach Scott Neal. “Zatrick scored 31.5 points as he earned the Class A Area 2 – Private High Point Award by winning the long jump and 400 meters,” Neal said. “He also placed second in the 200 meters, setting a new school record. He ran the fastest leg on the 4 x100 relay, earning third place, and the 4 x 4 relay, earning second place with a 48.8, the swiftest ever recorded at TFS. Zatrick advanced to the State Sectional meet in all five events. Zatrick’s team leadership – by example, peer accountability, influence and motivation – was even better. By way of his two event victories, Zatrick earned First Team All-Area 2 A-Private honors.”VARSITY GIRL
Sophomore Damali Danavall of Jonesboro was also named an Indian of the Week by coach Neal. “Seeded seventh, Damali heaved a 17-foot personal record (95’ 0”) to place fourth in the Area 2 – A Private discus and advance to the State Sectionals,” said Neal. “She also moved up from seeded sixth to place fifth in the shot put with a personal record toss of 29’ 2-1/2”. Damali demonstrated that barriers can indeed be overcome with a few tweaks here and there and a steady belief that it can be done.”MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL
Eighth grader Khali Momoh of Marietta was selected as an Indian of the Week by coach Neal for her performance in middle school track and field. “Khali came to track and field later in the season, but quickly became an excellent manager,” Neal said. “Her attention to detail and service oriented mindset contributed significantly to the life of the team. She also quickly mastered our race timing system and officiated it like a veteran adult.”MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY
Sixth grader Dan Griswold of Demorest was named an Indian of the Week by middle school baseball coach Bobby Hammond. “Dan started at first base for the first time this past week,” Hammond said. “He played error free ball. He may be short in stature but he is tall in ability. We expect great things from Dan as he matures.”Tallulah Falls School coaches have named four Indians of the Week for the week of April 24-29.

Senior Michael Weidner of Clarkesville was named an Indian of the Week by varsity golf coach Allen Campbell. “Michael Weidner shot a school record one under par in the recent region competition,” said Campbell. “In addition, Michael was the Region men’s champion. Freshman Briana Docsol of Toccoa was selected as an Indian of the Week by track & field coach Scott Neal. “Briana improved her triple jump personal record by over a foot to place second at the Class A – Private Sectional Track & Field meet,” said Neal. “Her 33’ 10” jump moved her into sixth place on the TFS Legacy List and continues a long line of female triple jumpers at the state meet such as Eno Emoh, Akosua Badu, Mariam Abdullah, Chelsea Jones, Sally Idehen, Masha Grizhebovskaya, and Gaby Ajibade.”Tallulah Falls Indians Sports Information
