TFS coaches select Indians of the Month for February

Tallulah Falls School coaches have named four Indians of the Month for February.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

   Eighth grader Andrew Kivett of Clarkesville was named a TFS Indian of the Month by middle school basketball ‘A’ team coach Lowell Hamilton. “Andrew came to us as a soccer player but quickly turned into a basketball player,” Hamilton said. “He played with a tenacity which was noticed by all. His tenacity was especially evident when he became one of our leading rebounders this year.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Brinson Hall, an eighth grader from Mt. Airy, was selected as an Indian of the Month by middle school basketball coach Randy Morris. “Brinson was the team leader throughout the year and continuously led by example,” Morris said. “In addition, she was an outstanding scorer for our team with more than 100 points for the season.”

VARSITY BOY

Senior Trey Wilcox of Tallulah Falls was named an Indian of the Month by varsity basketball coach Jim Van Hooser. “Trey continues to perform at a high level in both energy and intelligence,” Van Hooser. said. “He is scoring more and becoming more aggressive offensively while still playing his usual great defense.”

VARSITY GIRL

Varsity girls soccer coach Jane Shoemaker named sophomore Marly Welborn of Mt. Airy as an Indian of the Month. “Marly has a positive attitude and is dedicated to the betterment of the team,” Shoemaker said. “She always gives 100 percent in everything she does. She epitomizes what a teammate should be.”
