Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for April 3-8.
VARSITY BOY
Senior Trey Wilcox of Tallulah Falls was selected as a TFS Indian of the Week by varsity baseball coach Mark Wilcox. “Trey played some of his best baseball of the season during the week going 6-for-12 to bring his season batting average to .524,” Wilcox said. “In addition, Trey played outstanding defense.”
VARSITY GIRL
Varsity tennis coach Randy Morris named sophomore Emily Wonders of Clarkesville as a TFS Indian of the Week. “Emily has worked her way to the No. 3 singles position,” Morris said. “In our Area we play some of the best tennis players in the state. Emily has hung right in there with the best the state has to offer. She works diligently on her game year round. She has developed a reputation as a quality opponent who demonstrates GREAT sportsmanship.”
MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL
Eighth grader Abby Carlan of Baldwin was named an Indian of the Week by track and field coach Scott Neal. “Abby had her best meet of the season at Rabun County, helping her team to victory” Neal said. “She won the shot put, leaped a personal record in the long jump and ran very well in the relays. Abby’s focus and determination are strong examples of her many contributions to the life of the team.”
MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY
Coach Neal also named eighth grader Jack Greene of Clarkesville as an Indian of the Week. “Jack has pursued throwing the discus with a passion and that energetic pursuit has helped him improved his throws,” Neal said. “His efforts have also carried over to his other events. He is focused, listens attentively and seeks to find ways to refine his technique. It has been rewarding to see his passion grow and to see the influence it has on his
