Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for Nov. 28-Dec. 3.
VARSITY BOY
Freshman John Nichols of Clarkesville was named an Indian of the Week by swim coach Annette Cochran “John is an excellent swimmer who continues to be a GREAT athlete,” Cochran said. “As a ninth grade, he is one of the top three male swimmers on the team. At our last meet he scored a total of 37 points. He took first place in the 200-yard freestyle and second place in the 500-yard freestyle. John continues to drop time and improve. Other members of the team look to him for tips and guidance.”
VARSITY GIRL
Varsity girls basketball coach Tom Tilley selected freshman Sophie Alexander of Sautee Nacoochee as an Indian of the Week. “Sophie led all hustle stats in minutes played against Providence Christian, George Walton and Pinecrest Academy,” Tilley said. “These stats include deflections, steals, loose balls, and diving on the floor. Her hustle this week was unmatched. She was fearless in the face of tough competition.”
MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL
Eighth grader Jordan Seamon of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was named and Indian of the Week by swim coach Annette Cochran. “Jordan is a dedicated swimmer in her third year here at TFS,” Cochran said. “She is an amazing swimmer who has great attendance and is constantly helping other team members out. As a middle schooler she swims at a high school level. She placed second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:27, and third in the 50 yard butterfly.”
MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY
Coach Cochran also selected sixth grader Matt Cochran of Demorest to receive Indian of the Week honors. “Matt is a new swimmer here at TFS,” Cochran said. “He is very competitive and has a bright future. He is willing to learn and work on improving. He has great attendance and is enthusiastic about swimming.”
