Both the Indians and Lady Indians placed 3rd in the GIAA 4-AAA Region Championship meet on Wednesday evening, as Tallulah Falls played the role of host.
Sophomore Teagan Penland was the individual Runner-Up, finishing with a 17:16 time, with senior Timothy Beck not far behind at 5th place (18:25). The Lady Indians were paced by sophomore Olivia Henderson, who came in 4th with a 22:25, and Avery Keim (8th; 23:57).
For the girls, it makes two years in a row finishing 3rd in the region meet, while the boys finished 3rd for the first time since the 2021 season. The JV boys fielded a team also, and came in 2nd behind a 2nd place and 3rd place run by Steven Jackson and Gavin Simmons, respectively.
