The TFS Indians track and field teams competed on May 13-15 in the 1A Private State Championships and made history in the process.
The Indians finished a school-record third overall, finishing as the #3-ranked program in the state. Grey Bourlet paced the team with a state runner-up finish in both the pole vault and 110 meter hurdles. He also finished third in the 300 meter hurdles.
Teammate Simeon Respress was runner-up in the long jump and finished sixth in the high jump, while Evan Prince came in fourth in the 800, fourth in the 1600, and 10th in the 3200. The Indians 4×800 Relay came in fourth, and the 4×400 came in fifth.
The girls placed 15th overall, and Macy Murdock was fifth in the 300 meter hurdles and sixth in the 100 meter hurdles. Lucy Ladd was ninth in the long jump, and Lucy Alexander finished 10th in the 3200. Other top-10 performances included the 4×800 Relay (sixth), 4×100 Relay (seventh) and 4×400 Relay (seventh).
