Temperature roller coaster this week

After an active weekend, the upcoming week looks much calmer although we will go on a bit of a temperature roller coaster.

We’ll cool off significantly in the wake of the front. Morning lows on Monday will drop to the mid/upper-30s with the higher elevations perhaps making it to freezing. Winds will remain gusty overnight and into the day Monday with NW winds gusting to 20-30MPH.

Monday afternoon we will warm back into the mid/upper-50s and once again drop into the mid-30s on Tuesday morning. Some patchy frost is possible across the mountains Tuesday morning with lighter winds allowing for a better chance of frost development.

We’ll heat up fast on Tuesday and Wednesday with spring temperatures returning and highs in the 70s under sunny skies.

Another cold front, this one with no severe potential, will move through the region on Thursday morning. Scattered showers are likely along the front early Thursday morning but we will clear quickly through the day with winds once again becoming gusty.

By Friday morning we’ll once again dip to around freezing region-wide with another risk for a frost/freeze.
