Areas near Tallulah Falls could experience little to no water pressure for approximately 4 to 5 hours starting around 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, according to Demorest city officials.
City Manager Mark Musselwhite said on Wednesday that Georgia’s Department of Transportation is replacing a wooden bridge on Tugalo Cut Road, requiring Demorest to relocate water lines. The relocation project came at a cost of $125,000, Musselwhite said.
“Today is flushing and hookup day to the new line,” he said. “…it will take four-five hours, so we’ve let the schools and a lot of folks know this is going to happen.”
