Ted Harrison Barnes, Jr., age 83, of Baldwin, Georgia died on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
He was the son of the late Ted Harrison Barnes, Sr. and Mildred Irene Barnes. Ted was born in Pemiscot County, Missouri on September 10, 1936. Ted was a man who loved his job, his family and friends, and a good game of cards. You never knew what he might say or when a joke would be made, but he never spoke without putting a lot of thought into it. He retired from a career in the Plumbing and Heating services.
Ted is survived by his daughter, Cindy Husted (Steve) of Georgia; son, Scott Barnes (Connie) of Michigan; granddaughter, Casey Champion; grandsons, Ed Barnes (Jim), Cale Husted (Kelly), Ben Barnes (Hannah), and Josh Barnes (Michelle); 9 great-grandchildren and a large extended family to numerous to name. He is also survived by numerous loving friends and family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lela Jean Barnes; daughter, Denise; and his sisters, Christine Bevins and Dorothy Smith.
Ted will be laid to rest in Shelby Charter Township, Michigan at the Utica Cemetery beside his beloved wife, Jean.
