In an annual freeze fest under lights, Anna Davis – for the third year in a row, – earned the High Point Award (this year with 33 ½ points) at the Bo James Track & Field Invitation.
She won the pole vault in a school record 9’ 6, won both hurdle races, and led both relays to season best performances even while performing at less than full strength. Perry Gresham ran the 1600m within .11 of her school record to place fourth; she also placed fifth in the 800m (2:46.56). The 400m relay team of Sydney Spivey, Briana Docsol, Sunni Brett, and Davis placed third in 52.90 (less than a second off the school record). Sydney Porter placed third in the high jump (4’ 8). Spivey placed third in the 100m hurdles. Finishing the night amongst hundreds of shivering shoulders, the 4×4 relay team (Spivey, Gresham, Brett, Davis) placed second in what was an inspiring performance. (4:27.78). TFS placed third of seven teams.
Zatrick Pearce was the short sprints runner-up and the fastest leg on both TFS relays. Fellow senior Thala Freeman placed second in the high jump (6’ 0). Cusai Alfred-Igbokwe placed third in the 110m hurdles (17.64) and the 4×1 relay team (Ajani McIntosh, Freeman, Rolain Saintilus, and Pearce) ran 45.57 to place third. TFS placed sixth of eight teams.

At the Jr. Eagle Track & Field Invite, Sydney Coffee placed third in the 6lb shot (30’ 10 ¾) and fifth in the discus (57-8) as she earned TFS MS Athlete of the Meet honors. Lucy Alexander set a personal record in the 1600m (6:27.12). Macy Murdoch placed eighth in the long jump (13’ 3 ¾).
Grey Bourlet finished third in the 100m hurdles in a new school record 15.79. Jack Greene had a big PR in the discus (71’1). Simeone Respress placed fourth in the long jump (16’ 8 ½) and seventh in the triple jump (31’ 7 ½). Collin Kelly (6:06.94) and Eli Sims (6:25.76) also set new personal records in the 1600m.
