The town of Tallulah Falls will hold a potluck dinner for Gary and Donna Verdino Monday, August 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Tallulah Falls City Hall.

The event is scheduled to recognize the couple’s contributions and volunteer efforts over the years to the town.

The couple is originally from Winter Park, Florida but have visited the town every summer for several years to escape the summer heat in Florida. During their summer visits, they volunteer numerous hours every week. Gary volunteers with the town’s fire department and Donna helps out in City Hall.

The couple will be returning to their home in Florida at the end of summer.

According to the town’s announcement, “The entire Town is invited to help celebrate the enormous impact and unrivaled value that Gary and Donna Verdino bring to our community each year.” It adds, “Gary and Donna have been amazing and true friends to our Town, and this is our opportunity to celebrate the exceptional impact they continue to have on our Town.”

The announcement says that while all dishes brought to the potluck dinner will be appreciated, vegan dishes will be greatly appreciated.

The potluck dinner will be held in Tallulah Falls City Hall located at 255 Main Street in Tallulah Falls.
