Tallulah Falls School announced today it is suspending on-campus classes for at least four weeks due to concerns over the coronavirus COVID-19. “Our target for on-campus classes to resume is Tuesday, April 14,” TFS President and Head of School Larry Peevy says in an announcement released Friday. The school also has suspended all after school activities, practices and games until further notice.
Tallulah Falls students will continue their academic classes through online learning. Online classes are scheduled to begin on March 18.
“These are unprecedented days in the lives of our students,” says Peevy, citing the recent cancellations of major events around the country because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The private Northeast Georgia school in north Habersham County has a significant boarding population of students from other countries. TFS dorms will remain open for students who are unable to travel home.
