Tallulah Falls receives sportsmanship awards

Tallulah Falls School received the Region 8A Sportsmanship Awards in the following high school sports: girls cross country, boys cross country, girls basketball, girls track & field, boys track & field.

Middle school girls and boys track & field teams both received the Tri State Conference Sportsmanship Award.

It is an honor for our athletes to be recognized by high school region and middle school conference coaches for positive competitive interactions, poise, and purposeful acts of sportsmanship.  I am proud of our athletes who demonstrate that the process in which we pursue excellence together is critical to relationships and to performance.

We strive for the principles of GREAT character to be FUNctional and foundational.  We wholeheartedly believe that gratitude leads to generosity of service, whether internally within a team or externally towards other teams.  We strive for respect for the game and opponents to guide our interactions, for a strong sense of responsibility to steer our decisions.  Our coaches seek to develop an enthusiastic effort towards excellence and to instil team accountability in addition to ambition. Finally, we want our athletes to think through situations in order to respond instead of react so that they can be trustworthy in all they undertake.

It is a privilege to participate in interscholastic sports at Tallulah Falls School so we want to utilize those opportunities to Be GREAT!
