Tallulah Falls names Indians of the Month

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the month for August.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Eighth grader Bailey Aderholdt of Eastanollee was named an Indian of the Month by middle school volleyball coach Tamara Griffis.  “Bailey is a phenomenal leader on our team,” Griffis said. “She keeps the team motivated both on the court and on the bench. She also had a stellar month with 17 kills and six blocks so far.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

Eighth grader Tyler Popham of Demorest was also named a middle school Indian of the Month. “Tyler is new to tennis,” said Lisa Wilcox, middle school tennis coach. “But being new to the sport hasn’t stopped him from quickly learning the skills and mental tenacity to improve. Tyler is always a GREAT team member, and focuses on honing each stroke while seeking the nuances of tennis that help him to become successful. He is both talented and tough, as well as thorough.”

VARSITY GIRL

Senior Grace Brewer of Clarkesville has been selected as an Indian of the Month by varsity volleyball coach Brandy Corbett. “It takes an entire team working mutually together to create the type of synergy needed for a team to be successful,” Corbett said. “Grace Brewer’s kindred spirit, balanced disposition and overall understanding and commitment to her role on our team helps to lead the way in making the team’s overall performance greater than the sum of its individual membership.”

VARSITY BOY

Senior Lucas Yi of China was named an Indian of the Month by varsity soccer coach Jonathan Roberts. “Lucas has come into the season with great determination and is challenging his teammates to work hard and work well,” Roberts said. “As the captain Lucas leads his back line with experience and soccer savvy. He is a student of the world game and comes into each match with a plan and strategy. He could play anywhere on the field but is critical in his role as a top-notch defenseman.”
