Tallulah Falls School coaches have named their Indian Athletes of the Week for Sept. 19-24.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY
Seventh grader Luke Atwood of Mt. Airy was named an Indian of the Week by middle school cross country coach Scott Neal. “Luke cut off over three minutes for his 2.2 mile time while placing 16th at the Highlands meet,” Neal said. “Luke is an active, engaged, and thoughtful team member who pursues excellence with an outstanding attitude.”
MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL
Eighth grader Morgan Webb of Demorest was selected as an Indian of the Week by middle school coed soccer coach Zac Roland. “Morgan is an excellent teammate,” Roland said. “She is a hard worker and is constantly looking for ways that she can help her team. She is very involved and has a great attitude.”
VARSITY BOY
Varsity cross country coach selected senior Michael Weidner of Clarkesville as an Indian of the Week. Weidner is a team captain and coordinated the entire 4th annual Heroes Cross Country Invite. “Michael selected two local heroes to be honored, organized individual and team awards, and orchestrated what turned out to be an incredible experience,” Neal said. “In addition, Michael dove across the finish line in order to beat another racer, showing what a competitor he is and what he will do to help the team.”

Junior Grace Brewer of Clarkesville was named an Indian of the Week by varsity volleyball coach Allen Campbell. “Grace was named an Indian of the Week for her leadership and work on the ‘Play for the Cure’ night and for her great attitude during the trying times of this season,” Campbell said.
