Tallulah Falls Indians Off to Best Start in School History

The Tallulah Falls Boys Basketball teams are off to one of the best starts in school history.

The Junior Varsity Boys won their first 2 games this weekend by defeating George Walton Academy and Pinecrest Academy by over 40 points each. The Varsity Boys ran their record to 6-0 (the best start since 2005) by beating Providence Christian Academy (88-31), George Walton (74-52), and Pinecrest Academy (62-46).
In their fast start the Indians have only given up more than 50 points only once and are winning by an average margin of 69-44.  In the game against Providence Christian Academy out of Lilburn all 13 players on the team scored led by Josey Keene’s 15, Trey Wilcox’s 12, and Michael Weidner’s 10 points.
In a very physical win over George Walton Academy out of Monroe the Indians were led by Michael Van Hooser’s 25 points, Trey Wilcox’s 13 points, and Michael Weidner’s 12 points. In the game against Pinecrest Academy, Michael Van Hooser had 18 points, Josey Keene had 13 points, and Sanson Navarrete had 11 points.
The Indians are 2-0 in region 8-A play heading into this week with 3 region games at home (vs. Towns County, Hebron Christian Academy out of Dacula, and Providence Christian Academy).
