The Tacky Prom that was scheduled for next month in Cornelia has been postponed due to flooding inside the Cornelia Community House.
Cornelia’s Community Development Manager Jessie Owensby made the announcement by email this afternoon. “Our beloved Community House has flooded. We are cleaning it up. We are renovating. However, it won’t be finished in time for the 80s Tacky Prom that we had scheduled for February 10.”
The Community House flooded earlier this week during the bitterly cold winter weather.

Owensby says the Tacky Prom will be rescheduled. An alternate date has not yet been set.
