Three local teams played on Saturday in the Sweet 16, with Rabun and Towns boys both advancing to the state quarterfinals!
Rabun County 53, Model 47 (Boys)
The Rabun County Wildcats (9-20) don’t care what their record says…they move on to the Elite 8 with a win on the road at Model (22-6). It makes for the first trip to the quarterfinals in team history.
Rabun County 41, Columbia 50 (Girls)
The Lady Cats (19-7) saw their season end in a 50-41 tough road loss to Columbia.
Towns County 77, Warren County 67 (Boys)
The Indians (22-3) never trailed in a historic win over Warren County in which Jake McTaggart tallied 26 points. Kolby Moss had 19 and Aidan Berrong added 13 in the 77-67 win.
