The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance video of last week’s armed robbery at the county landfill.
The video, recorded on the morning of April 20th, is posted to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Facebook page. It shows the suspect dressed in dark clothing, face covered by a bandanna, walking into the scale office and pulling a gun on the clerk.
The suspect – described only as a white, heavyset male – demanded the cash box and clerk’s keys. The suspect fled in the clerk’s 2010 white KIA Forte with Georgia license tag #REJ5794.
He got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
The car has a dent in the driver’s door.
