The following is a press release issued by the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office regarding Wednesday’s search for a suspect on Wheeler Road:
On April 15, 2015 at approximately 5:34 pm, while Habersham Deputies were at 1179 Wheeler Road, Demorest for a juvenile complaint call, an adult male fled out the back of the residence and Deputies gave chase. Habersham County Deputies and a Habersham K-9 unit assisted by 2 units from the Clarkesville Police Department searched the area for approximately 2 hours but were unable to locate the subject. It was determined that the subject was possibly a Reed Willis Padgett and that he had active warrants for a probation violation out of Barrow County. Charges are pending from Habersham for misdemeanor obstruction.
