It’s another round of summertime fun in Cornelia tonight as the city hosts its second “Catch Me in Cornelia” Summer Nights Festival.
Around 50 vendors will be set up in the downtown district. There will be food trucks and entertainment near the historic Cornelia depot on Clarkesville Street and merchandise vendors along Hodges Street. Downtown stores and restaurants will be open late.
The festival runs from 5 until 9 p.m.
The festival is part of a four monthslong series of events held on the last Thursday of each month. The first in the series, held May 25, was “an absolute blast,” according to organizers.
As in May, tonight’s festival will include live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, and kids’ activities. Guests are invited to bring their pets and sip-n-stroll through Cornelia’s entertainment district.
In preparation for the festival, the city will close Clarkesville and Hodges Streets to traffic beginning at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 29.
