Cornelia will host another Summer Nights Festival this evening, Thursday, July 27. The monthly downtown street festival featuring vendors, music, and entertainment is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m.
More than 50 vendors are signed up to participate in this month’s event (see below). There will be inflatables and other kids’ activities. Pets are welcome to come stroll with you through the city’s entertainment district.
In preparation for Thursday’s festival, Cornelia will close Hodges Street and Irvin Street downtown at 2 p.m.
Marketed as “Catch Me in Cornelia,” Main Street Cornelia has been hosting this last Thursday-of-the-month street festival series since May.
“Catch me in Cornelia is one of the best nights to come experience the best parts of the community we live in,” says Main Street Director Noah Hamil.
One more event is scheduled for the last Thursday in August before the season ends.
