An active weekend with severe storms likely is expected this weekend.
Friday will feature plentiful sunshine, with highs returning again into the 70s. Winds may gust to around 10-15MPH Friday afternoon.
On Saturday, scattered showers will develop through the morning. A mostly dry afternoon/evening seems likely right now, followed by a round of severe storms overnight. Highs will reach into the low-70s for most of the region ahead of the storms. Winds will be gusty from the south, with gusts to 20-25MPH expected on Saturday.
The storms will move out of the region by early Sunday morning, leaving just some lingering showers. Gradual clearing through the afternoon is expected, and we won’t cool off much behind this front.
