For the second time in as many days, Cornelia police are reporting the successful end to a search for a missing man.
Willie Hutto returned home safely Sunday evening. Police had issued a statewide lookout for him earlier in the day after his family reported him missing.
According to Cornelia Police Chief Jonathan Roberts, Hutto got a ride to Elberton, but his family was not aware of that. He returned home about seven hours later.
Hutto was the second missing person case in Cornelia this weekend.
On Saturday, police successfully reunited an Alzheimer’s patient with his family following an intense three-and-a-half-hour search.
