State fire officials ask for the public’s help in their investigation into Sunday morning’s home explosion on Pauline Lane in Blairsville.

“We are asking that anyone in the area with video or audio footage of Sunday morning’s explosion in Blairsville to reach out to our office,” says Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John King.

King says investigators are working “around the clock” to determine what caused the deadly explosion. He says, “any new audio or video could prove instrumental to these efforts.”

The explosion killed an elderly couple and was heard and felt for miles around.

Anyone with information should contact the State Fire Investigations Unit at 1-800-282-5804.
