Stanley Lanier Morgan

Stanley Lanier Morgan, age 75 of Cornelia, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 21, 1942, he was a son of the late Allen Walter and Ida Mae West Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a retired engineer. He received his Bachelors Industrial Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and his MBA from Georgia State University. Mr. Morgan was actively involved in the Habersham County Chamber of Commerce and enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail. He was of the Episcopal Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lamar Edward Morgan, Forrest Adams Morgan and Donald Allen Morgan; sisters, Glena Morgan Cranford and Imogene Morgan.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Attila & Wendy Morgan of Opelika, Alabama; sister, Beverly Stell of Marietta; grandchildren, Rachel Morgan, Savannah Morgan, Ashlynn Morgan, Brittan Morgan and Grant Morgan; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Terry Rice officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
