The Habersham Central Stage Raiders took their show on the road to the Class 6A One Act Play State Championship in Kathleen, Georgia. They performed Failure: A Love Story by Philip Dawkins. The show illustrates, as in life, that the power of love is far greater than any individual’s successes or failures.

The troupe placed fifth out of the eight teams that competed on November 9 at Veterans High School.

The Stage Raiders qualified for state after winning the Region 8-6A competition on October 26 at Gainesville High School. It was their second straight region win, and third in the last five years.

Prior to leaving for State, the troupe held a free public showing of their production on November 7 at the Habersham Community Theater in Clarkesville. The event raised over $350 in donations to help pay for their trip to Kathleen.

The Stage Raiders are led by Habersham Central High School drama teacher Jeremy Bishop.
