Demorest Elementary School Academic Coach Beth St. Andre is the Habersham County School System’s Teacher of the Year. St. Andre received the surprise honor last night during the system’s annual banquet honoring all of the system’s top school teachers and support personnel.
Cornelia Elementary School Paraprofessional Doris Williams was presented the 2015 Habersham County Support Person of the Year Award. She’s joined by Supt. Matthew Cooper and county school Human Resources Director, Angela Robinson.
“I’m very grateful for all the opportunity I’ve had in Habersham,” says St. Andre. “I’ve been in a lot of school systems and never had as much opportunity as I have here. I’ve had a lot of people that have guided me along the way and I am very grateful for that.”
Cornelia Elementary School paraprofessional Doris Williams was named this year’s Support Person of the Year during Thursday night’s banquet.
St. Andre and Williams were chosen from among twenty-eight school level Teachers and Support Personnel of the Year award winners. Those winners also were recognized and honored for their efforts during last night’s banquet in the Habersham Central High School Cafeteria.
