SSGT Clifford Edward Wallace, age 76, of Gainesville, entered rest Friday, April 15, 2022, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville surrounded by his family.
Clifford was born February 27, 1946, in Tennessee to the late Guy & Ethel Elrod Wallace. He was a retired Staff Sergeant with the US Army having served in Vietnam. He was an active member of the Rock Creek Veterans group whom he loved dearly. He loved fishing and was a generous man and honest to a fault. He was humble and referred to himself as a regular good guy. He loved his family and made sure they were always cared for. Most of all he loved Jesus! He never missed a chance to tell you about his Savior. He was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church in Lula. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clayborn Wallace; sister, Carolyn Figueroa and his brother-in-law, Mike Figueroa.
Left to cherish his memory, wife, Hai Wallace; son & daughter-in-law, Kevin & Rachel Wallace; daughter, Catherine Nguyen; grandchildren, Joe (Autumn) Wallace & Christy Nguyen; sister-in-law, Juanita Wallace; his beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews & nieces, as well as his military brothers who honorably served as he did.
Funeral services honoring Clifford will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy White officiating. Burial will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery with the Rock Creek Veterans Group honored as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the funeral home.
