The City Council has called a special meeting for Tuesday, May 19th. The agenda is the release of the 2013 audit. This audit is the final audit that would include the time period when money was found missing. According to Duncan and Kitchens, the CPA firm hired by the City Council to further investigate the missing funds, the final time that money was missing was May 17, 2013. Duncan and Kitchens found that $53,661.21 was found missing in the first half of 2013 but that no more money was missing after that date.
The meeting will begin at 6:30pm and no other items are expected on the agenda. The meeting will be held in the municipal building under the Fire Department.
