South Hall residents displaced by fire

The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a residential fire that displaced residents in South Hall County.

Around 4:24 p.m. Monday, Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the 3500 block of Gilleland Extension.

“When HCFR units arrived on the scene, there were flames blowing out of the front of the residence,” says HCFR Public Information Officer Kimberlie Ledsinger. The flames eventually spread to the left and back side of the structure.

Firefighters ran a line from the top of the driveway and quickly extinguished the flames. Red Cross was called to assist the displaced residents from the affected apartments, Ledsinger says.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and remains under investigation.
