Before Coronavirus, trips to see the little grandchildren in Memphis were easy. Memphis is such a great city to play in, we have places that we routinely take the children while we’re there––the Memphis Zoo, the Bass Pro Shop to see the fish displays, local parks, the studio to paint pottery, and shopping, shopping, shopping.
However, Memphis is in worse shape with COVID-19 than Atlanta is and has recently begun thinking about going back to phase 1 restrictions. The children have been quarantined for months and going out now is not really safe. In preparation for our visit, we were tested for COVID-19 and then self-quarantined for two weeks.
Because of the coronavirus issues in Memphis, what we did together with the children had to change. The most logical thing to do was go back––back to the good old days of our childhoods, back to simple pleasures, back to enjoying each other in new ways.
So, here’s a photographic journal of some of our best moments of simple pleasures during COVID-19. Maybe these will inspire your moments as well.
