Despite being down a number of swimmers due to illness and SAT conflicts, the TFS varsity swim teams still had a great showing at Saturday’s Fall Frenzy Invitational at West Hall. The Indians finished third out of 14 teams, and the Lady Indians were sixth out of 15.
Mattie Patterson swam to a PR and new state qualifying time in the 100 Free with a cut of 58.01. Other notable swims include the quartet of Cole Borchers, Nelson Wilkinson, Emery Sims, and Grayson Penland swimming to a top-3 finish in both the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay, with their free relay being 1.77 off the state-qualifying time. Wilkinson placed second in the boys 200 IM. Sims placed second in the 500 Free with a new PR time.
Carlos Alcantara, Cole Borchers, Jovana Dermanovic, Milicia Durovic, Harry Goldfine, Carsyn Griffis, Charlie Harris, Marija Ivanovic, Isabella McClain, Mattie Patterson, Grayson Penland, Frankie Pribyl, Lucia Rajkovic, Martin Raybon, Molly Rickman, Teresa Torrevejano, and Lily Turpin all swam PRs in one or more individual events.
