Northeast Georgia and Upstate South Carolina remain under a hazardous weather outlook through tonight.
A potent upper level system is driving a cold front through the region. A cluster of storms passed through Habersham and surrounding counties earlier this afternoon. There’s a 50% chance of more rain through the evening hours.
Watch out for possible wind damage and flash flooding.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 5PM for the following Georgia counties:

Damage and delays
The system churning up these storms has also spurred tornado warnings in west, central Georgia, caused wind damage in some areas of the state and caused a ground stop at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
