Several members of our community in Haiti

As Hurricane Matthew presses through toward several Caribbean countries tonight and tomorrow, our community watches intently because several of our own are there. Cliff Brown of Demorest and CFO of Touch of Light Ministries is on the island as well as Pastor Mike Franklin of The Torch, Pastor Mike Thomas, Daniel Usher, and Charles Parker.

The hurricane is a Category 4 carrying maximum sustained winds of 140 mph according to the National Hurricane Center. Rainfall of up to 25 inches is predicted over the next several days in Haiti.

There will be a community wide prayer vigil held in the Main Sanctuary of The Torch from 6:00pm – 7:00pm tonight to pray for all who are impacted by the storm.
