The Habersham County School System is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Habersham Central Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award was launched in 2020 to recognize the outstanding professional achievements of Habersham Central High School graduates. The award also aims to highlight the “exceptional education provided at Habersham Central and inspire current students to aim high and work hard to achieve their goals,” the program website states.

Past recipients include Dr. Stacy Nicholson, Emily Foster Howell, and Marlan Wilbanks.

To be eligible, nominees must have received a diploma from Habersham Central during the period from 1970 to 1998. The award will recognize an individual who has had a significant impact at the local, state, and/or national levels.

The recipient will be honored during the Class of 2023 graduation ceremony. A photo and professional biography of the recipient will be displayed at Habersham Central.
