Rocky Branch Road in Clarkesville is back open to traffic after it was temporarily closed over the weekend due to downed trees and utility lines.
The City of Clarkesville issued a public alert just before 6 a.m. Sunday stating the road was closed between Jefferson and North Street.
The road reopened after the utility lines were repaired.
Severe weather caused trees to fall in various locations around Habersham Country on Saturday, taking power lines down with them. At the height of the storm, several thousand Georgia Power and Habersham EMC customers were left without power in Habersham.
The power has since been fully restored.
