(Helen)- The four Republican candidates seeking the party’s nomination, for Georgia Secretary of State, in the upcoming May 22nd Primary Election were featured in a candidate forum held Saturday afternoon in Helen.
The forum, sponsored by Young Republicans of Northeast Georgia, was held in the conference room at the Holiday Inn Express and featured Brad Raffensperger, Buzz Brockway, David Belle Isle, and Josh McKoon.
The candidates were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and talk about their desire to seek the office.
Robert Lee, Past Chairman of the Young Republicans was the moderator for the forum, he asked questions that included: if voter ID hinders voting, each candidate agreed it did not.
The candidate shared their views about how the absentee voting process should be changed.
Other topics include updating the states voting machines, the voting process and cutting government red tape that hinders many businesses.
