The second annual BLITZ Hall of Fame induction named 31 newcomers to the young hall of fame, following 27 others in last year’s inaugural class.
BLITZ (established 2009) has covered Northeast Georgia high schools: Habersham Central, White County, Dawson County, Lumpkin County, Towns County, Union County, Banks County, Commerce, Rabun County, Stephens County and Tallulah Falls.
The Hall of Fame consists of local high school standouts from those schools within the past decade. Voting was public via social media to induct up to two from each sport (out of four nominees), while some – while not earning enough votes – were given a Producer’s Pass.
Below are the 2017 inductees. For voting results and for bios that prove their worthiness, click here.
