The Cornelia Police Department, with help from several neighboring agencies, spent the morning deploying drones, K9s, and search teams for Becerra who was wanted on an active warrant for a parole violation.

According to Chief Roberts, at approximately 2:41 a.m. Saturday, July 27, officers responded to Banks Street in reference to a prowler. The 911 caller advised that the man seen in their backyard was wearing a white tank top-style shirt and blue jeans.

A camera captured images of the suspect, says Roberts. Police concentrated their search on the south side of Cornelia. Becerra was found within a mile of where the prowler was spotted on Banks Street.
