(Cleveland)- A White County man is expected to be okay after being shot during an apparent robbery Monday night.
White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said Tuesday morning that the incident happened around 10 p.m. Monday night, at Woodlawn Gardens and Farm on Highway 254 in the southern part of the county.
Chief Ingram said the victim Tim Motes was cleaning at the business when a lone gunman walked up to the drive- by window and demanded money.
According to Ingram, Motes told him he didn’t have any, that’s when the gunman shot the victim in the stomach.
Motes was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment and according to Chief Ingram, he is expected to be okay.
The gunman fled the scene and law enforcement is still searching for him.
