Search organized to help find missing Homer woman

A search has been organized to help locate a Homer, Georgia, woman who has been missing since Monday, January 6, 2025. Marie Campbell was last seen at her home on Bennett Road in Homer. Previously that day, she had visited a family member at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and returned home. She disappeared without her purse, cell phone, ID, or automobile.

The search is scheduled for February 15 and February 16, beginning at 10 a.m. The community is coming together to assist in locating Marie and ensuring her safe return. This is an urgent call for volunteers to help with the search efforts.

Boyer recommends that everyone wear weather-appropriate clothes such as blue jeans, a T-shirt, and a jacket. Boyer said flags, ribbons, and orange vests would be provided for searchers.

“I am trying to get the sheriff and Detective Alford to come as well,” Boyer said.

She believes there will be a great turnout. If you can donate doughnuts or coffee for the searchers, please let her know. Water will be provided.
