Habersham County authorities have called off a search for a wanted man in Demorest. Sources say officers searched a home on Wheeler Road off of Hwy. 115 Wednesday afternoon. Sheriff Joey Terrell confirms the suspect’s identity as Reed Willis Padgett.
Terrell tells Now Habersham Padgett is wanted on felony warrants out of Barrow County. According to Terrell, authorities were unable to locate him and all Habersham County deputies involved in the search are now back in regular service.
