Maysville man wanted in connection with alleged drug ring turns himself in

A Maysville, Georgia man wanted in connection with a multi-million dollar drug trafficking ring is now in custody.

59-year-old Rickie Nation turned himself into the Banks County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, January 13, according to Mitchell Posey with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO).

Nation was wanted for his suspected involvement with the Larry “Lil Man” Fricks’ drug organization. He’s one of fifteen suspects identified by authorities. The other fourteen were arrested on January 11. Their arrests followed a five-month long investigation by state, local, and federal authorities. During that time, Posey says the Fricks Drug Trafficking Organization distributed more than 100 kilograms of methamphetamine – $3.5 million worth – in North Georgia. He says the group has operated “for many years” in Banks, Hall, and Jackson counties and surrounding communities.

All of the suspects face multiple charges under the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization (RICO) statute.

More arrests are expected.
